Twenty Youth entrepreneurs from Zaječar County participated on March 12th and 13th 2014 in First job event in Sofia. They had the opportunity in the course of two days to learn more on the topics of importance of lifelong learning and training, as well as work procedures in Bulgaria and EU countries, through workshops and meetings.

During the event the participants were introduced to the biggest mobile operator in Bulgaria and their employment system, as well as the biggest career center that works under the University of VUZF.  The young people had the opportunity to visit the University, learn more about the most wanted jobs in Bulgaria, difference between employment of students of private and state colleges, as well as career centers that work as part of colleges that facilitate job finding processes and care about students after they graduate.

Interesting and discomforting is the fact that employment rate in Bulgaria of young people ages from 15 to 25 is 1%.
Visit to First job event in Sofia was implemented as a part of “Youth Career Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship Networking and Transfer” project, implemented by Timok Youth Center in cooperation with the leading partner “Kauzi” Foundation from Sofia, and Bulgarian National Association of Small and Medium Business.

The continuation of project activities include Final Conference with International Youth Entrepreneurship Marketplace in Zaječar.

The Project is co-funded by European Union trough the Bulgaria–Serbia IPA Cross-border Programme, brој: CCI No 2007CB16IPO006.

Project was co-financed by The Ministry of Youth and Sport of Republic of Serbia.
